About Us

The roots of People Tree originate from the misty spring of 1994 travelling India in the vain attempt of finding ones self, not only finding our vocation in life, (our appreciation of handicrafts), but also meandering from one village to another meeting immensly skilled craftmen and women with whom we are still friends and business partners with to this day.

After a couple of years supplying businesses around the UK with block printed textiles we opened our first shop in Holt in Norfolk in the spring of 1996, over the years this has enabled my wife and I and our two young daughters to travel Asia in more depth and procure a broad range of unusual items. Wherever possible we like to meet and do business with craft folk direct and other times we scour the bazaars of Asia for the bizarre and curious.

By meeting and working closely with our suppliers we feel confident that workers are treated fairly and paid well.
